<PRE> 标记可以带一个宽度属性 WIDTH ，指明一行中最多允许的字符数. WIDTH 同时通知浏览器选择一个合适的字体以及文本的缩排.

在 <PRE> 作用的部分中也可以加超链. 但是其他的 HTML 标记应该避免在 <PRE> 的区间中使用.

使用 <BLOCKQUOTE> 标记可以在屏幕上用分离的块显示大段的引用. 多数浏览器通常改变引用部分的页边界，以和周围的文本区分开.
